2013 Elite Athletes Scholarship for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Level in Australia

Curtin University offers Elite Athletes Scholarship for currently enrolled undergraduate or master’s degree students who are member of the Curtin University Elite Athletes Program. The Curtin Elite Athlete Program is part of the Australia Sports Commission’s Athlete Career and Education program(ACE). Australian students can apply for this scholarship. One Scholarship is offered for one year. The scholarship is provided in the field of Health Sciences, Humanities, Science & Engineering, Business and Aboriginal Studies. Over the course of one year the scholarship will provide $2500 cash payment  to assist with costs associated with sports training and development. The application deadline is 18th March 2013.

Eligibility: -Applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria to be considered for the Elite Athletes Scholarship:
-Be an Australian citizen, an Australian Permanent Resident or holder of a Permanent Humanitarian visa holder
-Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree
-Be a member of the Curtin University Elite Athletes Program.
-Contribute to the Curtin community (either through representing Curtin University in sanctioned University sports events or by promoting and supporting Curtin University)
-Have a course weighted average of 55 or above,
-Remain eligible for a commonwealth supported place.

Scholarship Open for International Students: Australian students can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description:  The Curtin Elite Athlete Program is part of the Australia Sports Commission’s Athlete Career and Education program (ACE). ACE is delivered through the Australian Institute of Sport along with state and territory institutions and academies of sport. Curtin University is committed to assisting its elite athletes to achieve their potential in all areas of their endeavours.

Selection criteria: The scholarship will be merit based and need based.
