Conference: 7th Annual South East European Doctoral Student Conference, Thessaloniki, 24-25 September 2012‏


Building on the success of the six previous Doctoral conferences which each attracted over 100
papers from countries all over the SE European region and beyond, we are pleased to be
launching the Call for Papers for the 7th Annual South East European Doctoral Student
Conference. The aim of the conference is to further facilitate the exchange of knowledge
between young researchers and to consolidate the established network of scholars currently
undertaking research in South East Europe. Doctoral students or young researchers in the areas
of Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, Information
& Communication Technologies, Psychology, Politics, Sociology as well as Education are
invited to attend and present papers related to their doctoral research.

The conference will comprise of:
1. Paper sessions
2. Special workshops/training sessions delivered by distinguished academics
3. Panel discussions
4. Social events

By participating in the 7th SEE Doctoral Student Conference you are given the opportunity to:
• Present your work in a friendly environment and receive valuable feedback from experts in
your field
• Further develop your academic and research skills
• Strengthen your network with other PhD students as well as with distinguished academics
and professionals in your area
• Apply for the ‘Best Papers’ Award
• Publish your work in the Conference Proceedings
• Publish your work in respectable Academic Journals (selected papers only)

All papers are peer reviewed and authors of submitted papers can have access to the evaluations
and possible feedback provided by the reviewers.

Depending on the stage of your research, you can submit either a short paper (3-5 pages) or a

Important Deadlines:
Short or Full paper submission: 9th April 2012
Notification of acceptance: 18th May 2012
Response to reviewers’ comments and submission of FINAL-camera ready paper: 22nd
June 2012
Publication of Conference Programme: 15th July 2012

Conference fee: 50 Euro (includes coffees and lunches for the two days plus a hard copy of the
Conference Proceedings).
